The mission of the college’s Information Technology (IT) unit is to support and enhance the college’s academic and administrative initiatives and operations.
The IT unit’s main office is located at the college’s Swainsboro location in the George L. Smith II Building. The unit also has an office (Room H1705) in the Nessmith-Lane Building at the college’s Statesboro location on the Georgia Southern University campus. Both the Swainsboro and Statesboro IT offices have a help desk. Currently, the IT unit does not have an office at the college’s Augusta location; however, remote IT support/assistance for that location, as well as for the Swainsboro and Statesboro locations, can be obtained by completing the “Ask EGSC IT” form via the link in the side menu or by contacting the department via phone.
The main phone number for the IT unit is 478-289-2004, and the unit’s regular operating hours are Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

- Protect all devices that connect to the Internet: Along with computers, smart phones, gaming systems, and other web-enabled devices also need protection from viruses and malware.
